Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
This policy applies to Seconds for Android and iPhone, listed as Seconds Camera on the App Store (ai.ronic.seconds). Seconds is an independent camera app operated by Sumeet Joon. It records and edits videos on your device. You do not need an account, and the app contains no ads, analytics or tracking services.
Responsible operator: Sumeet Joon.
Privacy and support: sumeet@ronic.ai.
Recording and local processing
Seconds uses the camera when you choose to record. If you allow microphone access, it can record sound with normal-speed takes. Microphone access is optional; you can record silent videos. Slow and fast takes are silent by design.
Your recordings, unfinished takes, editing selections, saved-video information and preferences are processed and stored on your device to provide capture, editing, recovery and playback. Seconds does not upload this information to Sumeet Joon, Ronic or an integrated server. It does not collect advertising identifiers, contacts or location, and does not sell your personal information.
Where your files are saved
On Android, unfinished takes are kept in private app storage. Finished videos are saved to the system media library in Movies/Seconds. The Saved videos menu lists videos owned by this installation of Seconds without requesting access to unrelated media. Videos from a previous installation may remain in your gallery even if they are no longer listed by the reinstalled app.
On iPhone, unfinished takes are kept in private app storage. Finished videos are available in the Seconds library and Files under On My iPhone > Seconds > Videos. Optional Photos access allows Seconds to save a copy in Photos and replace its previous copy when you save edits. The app keeps the identifier of that Photos copy for replacement. Denying Photos access does not prevent local saving, playback or sharing.
Permissions and device security
Camera permission is needed to record. Microphone and iPhone Photos permissions are optional and can be changed in device Settings. Private app files use the operating system’s storage protections. Finished videos are available in the media or Files locations described above; Seconds does not provide a separate password-protected or encrypted video vault.
Sharing and backups
When you choose Share or open a video in another app, the file is passed to the destination you select. That destination’s privacy practices and your sharing choices apply. Seconds does not send videos to a recipient automatically.
Device backups, Photos, Files and gallery services may copy finished videos according to your device and cloud settings. Private raw drafts are excluded from app backup. Copies shared or backed up by other services are controlled by those services and cannot be removed by deleting the original in Seconds.
Retention and deletion
Unfinished takes remain until you discard the draft or start a new video after saving. Temporary export files are removed after processing or when the app restarts. Saved videos remain until you delete them. Saving edits replaces the current output; if the system prevents removal of an older copy, you can delete that copy in your media app.
On Android, delete saved videos from Menu > Saved videos, your gallery or your file app. On iPhone, deleting a saved video in Seconds removes its local file from Seconds and Files; copies in Photos or other apps are separate. Uninstalling removes private app files and iPhone local documents. Android media-library exports and copies in Photos or other apps can remain. Your operating system may retain deleted items in a recently deleted folder.
All ages and children’s privacy
Seconds is intended for people of all ages, including children and families. The app does not request an account, name, age, email address or other profile information, and does not transmit recordings to the operator. Parents and guardians can manage camera, microphone, Photos, sharing and cloud-backup access through the device’s controls.
A parent or guardian can contact the privacy email below with questions or a request to remove information voluntarily sent to support. Please avoid sending personal recordings or information about children unless needed to explain a support request.
Contact, support and the online policy
Sumeet Joon is responsible for Seconds. For privacy questions, support or a request to delete support correspondence, email sumeet@ronic.ai. If you contact support, the email address, message and any files you choose to send are received through the email service and used to respond to your request. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations; it is not used for advertising.
This policy is available inside Seconds without an internet connection. Its online copy is hosted at https://ronic.ai/privacy/seconds/. Opening that link uses your browser and the website’s hosting services; it does not give the website access to your recordings. Website visits and email delivery may involve service providers processing the information needed for those services.
Changes to this policy
If Seconds’ privacy practices change, this policy and its effective date will be updated. The published online copy will carry the latest policy, and updated app releases will include it for offline reading.
