Privacy Policy
Last updated September 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the TravellerApp mobile application (“TravellerApp,” the “app”) and its related services access, collect, use, share, retain, and protect information. It applies to the Google Play application with package name ai.ronic.travellerapp and to corresponding TravellerApp services operated by Ronic, Inc.
TravellerApp accesses an itinerary PDF only when you deliberately choose it through your device’s document picker. The app does not scan unrelated files on your device.
Who is responsible for your information
TravellerApp is operated under the Ronic name. The publisher identity shown on the app’s store listing is responsible for the app’s handling of data. A travel agency remains responsible for the original booking and itinerary records that it controls and makes available to you.
Information TravellerApp processes
The information processed depends on the features you choose to use:
- Account information — your mobile telephone number, an optional display name, and account status. Your phone number is used for authentication and may be used to find eligible itineraries from an agency you select.
- Itinerary information — trip names, dates, destinations, flights, airport-local times, stays, activities, transfers, traveller names, booking or confirmation references, package information, source contacts, and emergency contacts when the source includes them.
- Selected PDFs — an itinerary PDF you choose, its file name, size and cryptographic checksum, the structured travel details extracted from it, and fields marked for your review.
- Itinerary documents and images — documents or source images associated with an imported trip, including copies downloaded for offline use.
- Your choices — the trips you import, refresh, keep, remove, or prepare offline and the corrections or review decisions you make.
- Security and technical information — app-generated installation, user and device-session identifiers, authentication records, app and platform version, request time, IP address, response status, rate-limit events, and security or audit events needed to operate and protect the service.
- Support information — information you include if you contact us for help, privacy questions, or a deletion request.
Do not upload passports, visas, payment cards, medical records, or other highly sensitive documents unless TravellerApp expressly adds and explains support for that category. The current PDF importer is intended for travel itineraries.
Permissions and device access
- Documents — the system document picker lets you select a specific PDF for import. TravellerApp does not receive broad access to all files on your device.
- Local storage — imported itineraries and available documents may be stored in the app's private account space so that selected travel details remain available offline.
- Network access — used to authenticate your account, retrieve agency itineraries, upload a PDF you select, synchronize updates, and download offline packages.
The current app does not request device location, address-book contacts, camera, microphone, SMS or call-log, photo-library, or advertising-identifier access. It does not contain third-party advertising or a behavioral-advertising SDK. Destinations and contact details shown in the app come from itinerary content, not from your device location or address book.
How we obtain and use information
We obtain information directly from you when you sign in, add a name, choose an agency, import a trip or PDF, review a detail, or contact support. When you select a connected travel agency, the TravellerApp backend may send your verified phone number to that agency’s approved server endpoint solely to find itineraries available for that number.
We use information to:
- Authenticate you, maintain your session, protect your account, and prevent abuse.
- Find and import trips you request from a selected travel agency.
- Receive and process an itinerary PDF you choose.
- Organise source data into a consistent itinerary and identify important details that need review.
- Display, refresh, download, and store your travel information for online and offline use.
- Preserve airport-local times and provide date- and time-zone-aware trip views.
- Provide support, diagnose failures, secure the service, process privacy requests, and comply with legal obligations.
AI-assisted PDF processing
When you choose to import an itinerary PDF, the file is securely transferred to the TravellerApp backend and processed through the Ronic AI Gateway. The gateway may use Google Gemini as a downstream AI-processing service to extract and organise travel information. Provider credentials are never stored in the mobile app.
AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. TravellerApp applies structured validation and can mark uncertain details for your review. Always confirm critical schedules, bookings, visas, safety information, and emergency details with the relevant airline, hotel, agency, or official source.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or use private itinerary content to build advertising profiles. Information may be disclosed only to:
- A selected travel agency — your verified phone number may be used for exact customer matching, and the agency may provide the itinerary records made available to you.
- Service providers — infrastructure, database, storage, security, app-delivery, support, and AI-processing providers that process information as needed to operate TravellerApp.
- Legal and safety recipients — where disclosure is required by law or is reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse or security incidents, or protect legal rights.
- A successor — if the service or relevant assets are reorganised, transferred, or acquired, subject to this policy and applicable law.
A travel agency independently retains its original booking records under its own privacy notice and legal obligations. Removing those records requires a separate request to the agency or other original provider.
Storage and security
TravellerApp uses HTTPS/TLS for data in transit, encryption for sensitive server fields and uploaded PDFs at rest, an encrypted local database, protected credential storage, short-lived access credentials, checksum verification, and access controls. Offline documents are kept within the app’s private account-scoped storage. Android app backup is disabled for this data. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and itinerary information only while reasonably necessary to provide and secure TravellerApp, fulfil the purposes described here, resolve disputes, and comply with law.
- Removing an itinerary removes the TravellerApp copy associated with your account and device; it does not cancel a booking or delete the agency's original record or a PDF kept outside the app.
- Uninstalling TravellerApp removes app-controlled local information according to the device platform, but it does not by itself delete information already held by the TravellerApp service or an agency.
- Verified account deletion revokes active sessions and removes active TravellerApp account information, imported trips, PDF workflow records, and server-held source files. A minimal encrypted confirmation receipt that contains no phone, profile, trip, or PDF content may remain for up to 24 hours to recover a lost deletion response.
- Limited security, legal, fraud-prevention, dispute, or backup records may remain where required and are isolated from normal active use until their applicable retention period expires.
To delete your account in the app, open Trips → Account → Delete account, complete the identity-verification step, and confirm the request. If you cannot access the app, email sumeet@ronic.ai with the subject TravellerApp account deletion request. Include the phone number attached to the account and your country so we can safely verify the request. Do not send an OTP, access token, passport, payment card, full itinerary, or booking document by email.
Your choices and rights
- Choose whether to add a display name, connect an agency, import a particular trip, upload a PDF, or prepare a trip for offline use.
- Remove a saved itinerary or request verified deletion of your TravellerApp account.
- Request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability where applicable, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
- Complain to the relevant data-protection authority where that right is available.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a privacy request. If an itinerary contains information about another traveller, you are responsible for having authority to provide and use that information.
International processing
TravellerApp and its service providers may process information in countries other than your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and apply the protections described in this policy.
Children's privacy
TravellerApp is intended for adult travellers and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for children through the app. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been processed so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as TravellerApp changes or legal requirements evolve. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page and communicated through the app or store listing when appropriate.
